...standing there for an hour is not the way i would like to spend an evening.
The first night is over, and whoever said making friends is easy because everyones in the same situation is a massive liar or incredibly outgoing.
I imagine making friends is gonna be a slow process for me, which sucks cus until then im on my own. All is not lost however, i have been hanging round a group of... aqaintances, more awkward silences than conversation, but its a start.
Had to be up at 9.30 for the first time in months, which has been a real shock, don't know if my body thinks its a real time yet. First impressions of the course seems cool, except i have my timetable...
Monday. 9 o'clock. Motion capture (the most active part of the course).
Bugger.

hey josh it's your cousin rach here. grandma sent me the link 2 ur blog. n after reading your experience i am now quite worried! i move 2 uni on saturday n eeeeeeeek i'm kinda nervous now! i hope u have made some friends now n can actually have decent convos lol. i'm lucky 2 have found someone i'm living with (sharing a kitchen) so i've been messaging her n she seems really nice but most of my friends don't have a clue who they're living with so i spose it'll b more difficult 4 them. anyway i'm sure u will soon settle in fine! cya soon (bout 3 weeks i think) :D xxx
Im not one to 'dress up' things, yeah its hard. Most people who ive talked to said freshers week was a bit rubbish, 'cus it takes time to find your true mates. Its when you find them that u wish you had another freshers week to have a laugh with them. Just takes time. Seeing as youve already found a m8, it will be miles easier too.
yeah i totally get that. they should have a ''settled in week'' after a month or 2 when you've decided who u like! but yeah i'm lucky 2 have found someone really so that will make it a lot better for me. i also know 1 girl who is going 2 the same uni as me (although if i'm honest she's not someone i'm wanting 2 b hangin around with all the time! alright at times but can b reeeeeeally annoyin! plus she likes all crappy music like rap n is kinda chavy so will probably not like the people who i wud get along with!) did u know anyone u liked b4 hand that woz goin 2 your uni?
